Southport Bank Names Michael Falbo President and CEO
We are pleased to announce that Michael Falbo will be joining Southport Bank as President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 6, 2010. Mike was also appointed to serve as a Director of Southport Bank and the Southport Financial Corporation. He brings with him a great deal of financial services knowledge and experience, and we are excited about having him serve in a leadership role within our organization.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and he is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He began his banking career as an auditor in 1973. Most recently, he held the position of CEO of TierOne Bank based in Lincoln, NE. Before his relocation to Nebraska, Mike was the Chairman of Associated Bank Community Development, LLC which is an affiliate of Associated Banc-Corp. Prior to that, he held the position of Chairman and CEO of State Financial Services Corporation, a $1.5 billion financial services company based in Milwaukee with operations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
Mike has been married 38 years to his wife Sheila and they have two daughters, two granddaughters and a grandson. He currently resides in Franklin, WI.
